Everyone loves to be thanked. Whether you've just held the door for the person behind you or worked extra hard to finish a report for your boss.
"Thank you" is a sign of recognition that you're doing something good. And thanking others, through a note, a gift or kind words, is a powerful opportunity to show appreciation and gratitude to people who are often overlooked. It's a simple, effective form of community outreach that requires nothing in return.
As you're driving around town tomorrow, take a look around your community at the businesses and resources you sometimes take for granted. Who maintains your city park and keeps the trees trimmed and the grass cut, and how can you show them you appreciate their aesthetic efforts? How can you say "thanks" to the post office workers who handle your mail so carefully? How could you tell the owner of a local deli that his fresh, well-made sandwiches are appreciated?
Every opportunity that you take to be appreciative and grateful for the good in and around your life is another opportunity for Spiritual Growth.
It's worth doing... Take an action step in Spiritual Growth right now!
Lovingly in His service,
Rob
