How to change your consciousness and weather the storm of circumstance.

Check out these spiritual approaches that are always important and needed in times of crisis:

Put God First. Putting God first is the best insurance policy, your ultimate safety net. Prioritize what's essential in your life. God is the source. You will attract the re-sources you need to fulfill your purpose and contribute to a better world. Meditate to calm your fears, invoke creative solutions and make wiser decisions.
Stay present. Not even the best financial experts know what will happen to the economy in the future, so the best approach is to stay aware and awake in the present so that you can be flexible and respond as needed. When fears of the future arise, focus your intention in the present and allow your intuition to guide you.
Be open to emerging opportunities. Be alert to new doors opening as old ones close. Crisis can sometimes bring wonderful surprises and much needed changes that are blessings in disguise.
Be practical, and do your financial homework before investing in or buying anything of significant value. Don't believe everything you see or hear. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. …It's important to research everything as thoroughly as you can, using alternative as well as mainstream sources. I had to make a "rule" for myself... no major financial expenditure without three days of prayerful consideration.
Welcome and embrace change. Explore where you may be stuck in old patterns—physically, emotionally, mentally; as they relate to money, your relationships and outer sircumstances and release these patterns through conscious awareness. Call upon your spiritual will to help release the old patterns which no longer serve you and strengthen more positive patterns.
Release the seeming need to be in control and practice detachment from personal comfort. Be flexible and flowing so that you can adapt to any personal or collective upheavals that might show up in your world. Our world is undergoing rapid change right now. Let go of needing any particular outcomes for yourself personally.
Shift from anger to forgiveness. Acknowledge any strong feelings catalyzed by recent crises, such as anger toward anyone who your believe has contributed to your problems both personal and financial. Then work on releasing anger at your mistakes and the mistakes of others and embrace forgiveness. When in doubt, take a moment and pray the Lord's prayer. Breathe through it. It's not a race to see how fast you can say the words!
Explore the deeper fears behind your worries and concerns (which are fear writ small) . Honestly face what you most fear—poverty, bankruptcy, etc.—and understand what fear can teach you. Is there any rational basis to your fear that you need to face squarely? Keep a larger perspective so that fear doesn't overwhelm you. Remember that you don't have to deal with any circumstance alone. Use your Prayer Partners and the Prayer Ministry. "Ask and it shall be given."
Appreciate that which you already have. Focusing on your impoverishment and what you lack, has the tendency to bring lack and limitation into expression. Rather give thanks for what you have—the many blessings in your life, such as family, friends and good health.
Simplify your lifestyle. Do you really need all of that stuff? Empty the storage unit! The planet could certainly use some lightening up and reduction of energy use. Go within and explore what quality or experience you are trying to satisfy with a material product, and discover a new way to draw all the treasures of the Kingdom into your life.
Form communities and networks of mutual support. Good relationships help you get through all kinds of problems and bring you new, creative solutions. Overcome isolation by connecting with others, which will help you attract what you need.
Be generous as an act of confidence in the abundant universe. There are always others in greater need than you, and what you give of your Time, your Talent and your Treasure, from your heart will return to you a hundred fold! Put that thought to the test! When you help others, you experience a feeling that is spiritually more satisfying than any material reward.

Rob

FIVE REASONS

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. We teach meditaion as a means to moving towards the silence and is one of the key principles handed down to us by Charles and Mrytle Fillmore.
Today, this principle reads,
"With prayer and meditation
we align our heart-mind with God.
Denials and affirmations
are the tools we use."

Here are five reasons how meditation side of this Truth statement can be of assistance...
1. Greater focus
Meditation will improve your focus which will in turn make you more productive in life. You will find you have greater control of your mind and be able to deal with challenging situations more efficiently.
2. Peace of mind
When you meditate regularly, you will experience a profound sense of peace and well being. You will not only feel more at peace with yourself, but with the world around you.
3. Reduce stress
As you regain control of your thoughts and emotions through meditation, you will find that you will not be as stressed in your daily life. This will lead to a happier existence, not only for yourself but for others around you.
4. Presence
Meditation brings you to one on one ocmmunication with the Presence. This gives you an advantage because you can always stay in the present moment and not end up worrying about what might happen in life. This leads to a gain in confidence because you know you can handle any situation.
5. Self awareness
Self awareness is cultivated through meditation. This means you can see yourself very clearly, which means you will make better decisions for the future. You will find yourself making more good decisions and you will start to get rid of bad habits.

So now you have five more reasons why you should meditate.
Coupled with prayer, I meditate several times every day. In my humble opinion everyone should get started as soon as possible and experience the amazing benefits that comes from Prayer and Meditation.

Rob

Into 2010 - Happy New Year

Happy New Year !

Now, onto our subject for today...
Any Job You Want

You CAN have any job you want.

You do not believe that, do you?

That is why you do not get the job you want now; you do not believe you can get it.
Did you ever hear Mark Twain's advice to the young seeker after a job ?
He said something like this: "Pick out the man you want to work for, and then go and work for him. Tell him you are going to work for him for nothing till he decides you are worth something, and how much." That seems an absurd piece of advice. However, it will certainly work when you really put it into practice.

Here's why. You wouldn't even take this step unless you believed you would be of value to the employer. We all want a place of employment where we are needed and appreciated and where we have something important to give and to receive. We want to be blessed and be a blessing.

When I was looking for work I used this affirmation and I highly recommend that you use a similar one should you be looking for employment...
"I am a beloved child of God. I trust God to guide me to the place of employment where I will be happy, fulfilled and prospered."

Need help with an affirmation? Leave a comment on the Blog, or send me an email and we will work together to develop who you will BE, so that you will be guided to DO what will bless you, in order the you will HAVE all the treasures of the Kingdom.

Transformational Healing Music Concert

Transformational Healing Music Concert and Heartsongs

Mount Shasta keyboardist, harmonica and tabla player Anton Mizerak and Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Kim Lorene will present an afternoon of transformational healing music, original heartsongs and chants from around the world on

Sunday, October 4 at 12:30PM at
Christ Unity Church in Medford.

Anton Mizerak lives in Mount Shasta and writes his music in nature, believing that our organic experience of sun, wind, water, snow and earth, transmitted through music, can be a valuable nurturing and healing experience. Anton plays keyboards and harmonica. His music has been featured on the nationally syndicated radio show "Echoes" and on the digital New Age Music format "Soundscapes". The highly acclaimed CD series "When Angels Dream" is a top seller with healers and massage therapists. Many people have seen Anton at New Thought Churches, symposiums and retreats over the past ten years.

Kim Lorene grew up surrounded by the lush green forests of coastal British Columbia. She travels and shares her music throughout North America, Europe, and the U.K., always listening for the music that the earth has to share. Along the way she gathers stories and writes about the beauty and love found in nature, in people, in animals, and in the spirit which connects us all. With her deeply moving songs and her angelic voice, she connects with the heart of the listener and invites them to join her in a world filled with wonder and with the joy of being alive.

Anton and Kim have given 240 performances since August 2008. They were the featured performers at the Seattle Sacred World Music Festival and the United Centers for Spiritual Living and Unity annual gatherings at Asilomar and at the Circle of Love gathering at Unity Village.
The concert will feature Anton's original music, Kim's heartsongs and chants from around the world.

This concert is presented on a free will Love Offering basis

Another Surprise

Should you have tuned into our Sunday Celebrations LIVE, or watched from the Lesson Archive Blog, you know that I like to tell stories. I like to tell stories for a couple of reasons. I have discovered that when you hear a story you get to put your own spin on it. You hear what you need to hear in that moment.

That being said, I received this story from Fireflies for the Heart

“A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could. He liked to watch the splash they made and he thought at least he had found something to do with the useless balls of clay.

Everything changed when he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone! He stared wide-eyed at the sparkling gem. Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him...

He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands. He stared out at the waves as he realized what he had just thrown away! “

So what did you hear? And, how many balls of clay do you know?

I have discovered it's like that with people. Most of them are clay balls. We look at people, maybe even ourselves, and we see a clay ball. They may not look like much on the outside. They may not always be beautiful or sparkling, so we discount them. We see them as less important than someone who is more beautiful; more stylish; more popular. They may not be wealthy or smart.

The challenge is, we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person.

There is a treasure in every person you know. I know it can sometimes be hard to see. However when you will take the time to get to know that person, often times the clay ball will crack open and you will discover a brilliant jewel that will enrich your life. You will discover an amazing friend and an amazing person.

Who can you think of right now that you see as nothing but a Clay Ball? Will you accept my challenge today to see that person as a potential treasure? Will you do something today to discover more about who that person really is - try to find the treasure in them?

My hope is that you will not come to the end of your life and find out you have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.

My hope is you take the time to see ALL the people in your life as special people.
My Prayer is you take time to see the beauty in yourself...because you truly are a beautiful creation.

Rob

A list of things to do...

For many people it seems that the notion of Abundance and Prosperity in their life is not possible given the current economic climate. We are taught that God is our source and that with God all things are possible, so here are a number of ways to express and demonstrate prosperity in your life using the Law of right action. Turn off the mainstream news.
Join or create a mastermind group
Pray
Forgive yourself and others.
Read Think and Grow Rich.
Feel grateful for something you have.
Create a vision board (Treasure Map) of what you want.
Do 5 things each day on items on your vision board (Treasure Map).
Ask for help.
Help someone else.
Worship time, not money. Use your time wisely.
Imagine what you would do if you won the lotto for $40,000,000. It’s fun!
Get clear of your limiting beliefs about money.
Do whatever you are afraid to do. Prosperity is hiding behind your fear.
Get a job. While you pursue your dream, feed yourself with work.

When you have started with this list you will see, feel a difference. It may take some time for demonstration, however, know that your good is already present.

HINT: have started

So often I hear something along the line of "Sure, Rob, this is easy for you, but I...." followed by the current list of the impossible. I invite you to share you thoughts and feeling with others. It is how our Way Shower did His work. Your story may be just the inspiration that a fellow reader needed to move forward. I look forward to reading of your success.
